The 16th Annual Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southeastern Colorado Affliate took place on September 12, 2010 at the Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, CO.The Race had over 8,000 attendees and participants and raised over $550,000, in which 75% of the funds raised go towards community programs in Southeastern Colorado. As a 2010-2011 grant recipient of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Southeastern Colorado Affiliate, APDC a hosted an educational and informational booth with information for Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) women to received access to free mammography screening. Susan G. Komen for the Cure is a grassroots organization with the largest and most progressive network of survivors, activists and volunteers globally!
Also, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
