    1. Where are you from?

    I am from Mexico.

    2. What do you like about your country?
There are so many things I like about my country, but something I really like about it is its
history. Mexico is a very rich in history country. I think history plays a very important role in
a country’s development and the more you learn about the history of your country, the
prouder you feel to belong to it.
    3. What do you like about the U.S.?
One thing I like about the U.S. is that in this country everybody has the same rights and the same responsibilities. It doesn’t matter if you are rich or poor, we are all equal, as in my opinion it should be in every country.
    4. What do you do in your free time?
In my free time I like to go for a walk in the park, to go to the movies, I like to read and from time to time I like to go for a night walk downtown.
    5. What three words describe you?
If I could describe myself in three words, these three words would be: friendly, honest and persistent.
    6. What is most important to you?
The most important for me is love. I would leave anything for love, even my dreams.
    7. What do you like about English class?
What I like about English class is that it gives me the opportunity to communicate with people from different parts of the world; with people who speak different languages, but thanks to English language, we are able to communicate to each other. It broke the barrier that separated us before.
    8. Describe a funny/interesting day you had in English class.
One interesting day we had in English class was when one of our tutors, Ron Levis, brought some of the pictures he has taken during his trips to our classroom and showed them to us. It was interesting because as we were watching the picture show, he was narrating the experience he lived in each picture he took. It was as if we had lived his experience too.
    9. What are your goals in English class?
One of my goals in English class is to improve my English to  a point where nobody can guess English is my second language. And eventually to teach others to speak English as well.
    10. What is one of the most memorable moments in your life?
One of the most memorable moments in my life is the day I left my country to come to the U.S.. It was a very emotional moment because I was leaving behind everything I had, for something I did not know what it was. I just felt a natural force pushing me to follow my instincts. Now I understand those instincts were nothing but my dreams.
    11. Is there anything else you’d like to share about yourself?
Yes, there is a lot more about myself I would like to share, but I would like to invite to each of you to ask what else you want to know about me.Something I really want to share with each of you is this recognition of the Student of the Month. I want to share it with: my teachers, my tutors, the APDC staff and with all my classmates. You all have played a very important role in my English learning, thank you all. This month I was named the Student of the Month, but you all are ” the Best Friends Ever”
