Asian Youth Mentorship Program (AYMP) provides AA/PI youth participating in the program the knowledge and skills to gain and achieve his/her fullest potential through the guidance of a trusted volunteer mentor
Eligibility Criteria:
• AA/PI ethnicity
• Attends Adams County School District 50th
• 12-15 years old (Middle & High school)
Risk Factors:
• Poor academic performance
• Exposure to drug and alcohol
• Gang affiliations
• Poor social/life skills
• Family/community disengagement

• Experiences greater self-esteem and motivation for success
• Experiences and learns to understand cultural differences
• Improves interpersonal relationship skills with peers, family and teachers
• Receives encouragement to avoid using illegal drugs and alcohol

• Monthly social gathering activities
• Bi-annual overnight camping trips
